Overview

DAL Flute is a virtual woodwind instrument combining multi-samples of real flutes with a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engine. Offers control over several parameters allowing you to sculpt new and interesting sounds.

Features

• Hybrid Synthesis that combines sample-playback engine with native DSP processing. 

• Powerful multi-mode filters, envelopes, and LFOs give a wealth of creative possibilities.

• Flute Selector: Normal, Bright, Pan Flute (aka: Pan pipe, Pandean Pipe) and Shakuhachi modes.

• 32 presets redesigned in a wide range of styles: 8 for each mode > Normal, > Bright, > Pan and > Shakuhachi. (Shakuhachi sounds aren't available in demo version)

• The flute simulation in DAL Flute is controlled by the following parameters:

Sections

LFO2 Section:

• 1 LFO -Low Frequency oscillator- with 6 waveforms (Sine, saw, ramp, triangle, pulse & S&H) + Speed, Pulse Width , Depth.
• 1 LFO -Low Frequency oscillator- with 5 waveforms (Sine, saw, ramp, triangle &  pulse) + Speed, Pulse Width , Depth.

Envelope2 Section:

• Filter Envelope: ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) and Control the amount of the Filter Envelope Generator (Knob setting the Gain of the envelope)
• Amplifier Envelope: ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release)

Moog Filter Section:

• Cutoff Frequency:  Controls the Filter's Cutoff Frequency. 
• Resonance: Emphasizes the Cutoff Frequency. 

Glide / Pitch Section:

• Variable note glide speed.
• Variable Pitch.
• Mono and Retrigger switch: Possibility of turn the synth into Mono Mode and Retrigger switch.
• X-Y axis Glide/Pitch: Drag and Drop option for Glide/Pitch effect, by clicking-and-dragging a point in an X-Y axis.

Miscellaneous Section: 

• Signal's Harmonic Spectrum (Freq. analyzer).
• MIDI Channel selector : 1 to 16
• Output Control: Emphasis and Volume knobs.

* Hybrid Method combines mastered multi-samples, normalized and noise-reduced. Based on PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) recordings of real flutes. Full length sustain samples, no loops (natural decay), stored in 16 bits and 44.100 KHz and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engine.

System Requirements

      Before you install VST Instruments & Effects, please make sure your computer fulfills the following requirements:

• Windows Operating System : Windows® XP, Windows® Vista, Windows® 7 / x86 (32 bit). For x64 (64 bit) test it first with VST Bridge, jBridge or BitBridge.

• Linux Operating System, with the following requirements (Special Thanks to Paul Davis).

• Intel Mac OS X: Via free Wine based host called SM Pro Audio VFX Software as standalone program or by routing the audio signals to your favorite sequencer (e.g. GarageBand, Logic Pro) via Cycling74 SoundFlower and IAC bus (Macintosh® OS X  10.5 Intel, Mac OS X 10.6 Intel).

• Intel Mac OS X: Via Apple's Boot Camp software, included with Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, v10.6 Snow Leopard and Mac OS X v10.7 Lion.

• 500 MHz Processor (Pentium®, Celeron® AMD® or equivalent) minimum.

• RAM: 128 MB or higher recommended.

  Installing and Uninstalling VST Plug-in

    To install VST plug-in, follow these steps: 

• The dll file must be in a directory where the VST host is looking for VST plug-ins. 

• Unzip the file.

• Put the DAL Flute demo.dll file into VST Plug-ins Folder of your host application.

    To uninstall simply remove the Organux demo.dll DAL Flute demo.dll file of your VST Plug-ins folder.

Evaluation & Registration

The code for the licensed and evaluation versions of this software are identical. With the Demo Version you can do anything you can do with the full version, also some presets are included to demonstrate the instruments capabilities.  

The demo restrictions are:  

• The demo generates a short beep noise in all output channels every 10 seconds

• It's limited to a certain number of trial executions.

• New sounds and presets of Shakuhachi (Japanese end-blown flute) aren't available.

The Registered Version does not have nagging sounds, contains complete sound bank and their use is unlimited. 

The program is a SHAREWARE. You are hereby licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes without charge but if you use this software after the evaluation period, a registration fee is required.  Note that by registering the software, you enable us to improve it and design new features and you automatically support the development for upcoming software updates.

The full version is available to purchase, as downloadable software, the price is US$29, and you can download the full version as soon as your payment is received.
